We have selected Merino wool for our knittings. The wool comes from the fleece of Merino sheep, imported from Spain to Australia.

 

Merino wool is a natural and noble material. It is appreciated for its qualities:

 - It does not itch because it is three times finer than traditional wool;

 - It is silky soft - therefore particularly suitable for children with sensitive skin especially at birth;

 - It is very isolating and regulating temperature.

 

At lepetitmouton, we use merino wool from the Italian brand "Grignascoknits" which produces the yarn since 1894.
